How start your collection, from what age and what is the first PEZ dispenser in your collection?
I collected überaschungseierfiguren (kindersurprise) but then the quallity of the figures was going down. I bouth at fleamarkets and often was a PEZ dispenser into the box. I always gave the dispensers and then I stoped collecting kindersurprise (bad and ugly figures). I found a box with the PEZ dispensers and thought: as I was a young boy (6-8years old) my neighbour filled the PEZ vending machine and we always got PEZ for free! I think, why do not start collect them? This was in 2009. I do not know what was my first dispenser but maybe one of the flintstones!
How many years collect PEZ?
This year makes four years.
How many PEZ Dispensers have in the collection?
With doubles more then 4000!
You collects only PEZ Dispensers or all products of PEZ Candy Inc.?
All what is coming out from the PEZ factory!
What PEZ Dispenser is the favourite of your collection?
The ponies and the cockatoos.
You have a maximum value of money to give for a PEZ?
I always buy PEZ after selling PEZ, but I prefer trading and make good friens with the trades.
Where you buy PEZ?
I buy pez in shops, fleamarket, from other collectors and sometimes from eBay auctions.
What is the maximum amount you offered for a PEZ dispenser?
No idea, but I think when a dispenser is for example, 1000$ and this dispenser is one of the last you don't have, I'm sure I will buy! I miss a lot of older dispensers... I think I buy for 1000$, five dispensers!
Do you think PEZ Candy Inc. could be more innovative in some PEZ Dispensers repeated characters?
Yes for sure!
What PEZ dispenser that does not exist and that you want PEZ Candy Inc, to manufacture one day?
For example musicians: Beatles, Rolling Stones, Eagles, John Denver, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Hendrix, and so on... actors: Garry Grant, Richard Burton, Charlton Heston, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Rock Hudson, Doris Day, Elisabeth Taylor, Olidia de Heviland, Diane Keaton, and so on... comedians: Buster Keaton, Harry Langdon, Stan and Oli, the three stooges, Jerry Lewis...
Can you spend a day without thinking about PEZ?
It's hard (laughs) but it's possible! When my kids are here with my grandchild, then we have a lot of fun and I do not think about PEZ, but if my grandchild aks me "Do you have a PEZ for me?" Then I think about PEZ (laughs).
What advice would give a new PEZ collector?
Think about what kind of PEZ do you want to collect? Dispensers? Cars? Sheets? Or all?
And take care for fakes and people they tell you that they are collectors and then they will rip you off...
In addition to PEZ, collect anything else? What?
