PEZ SUPER REGULAR

Já algumas vezes aqui citado, o vendedor no eBay pezdudewelch / David Welch, surge com um dispensador embora incompleto e sem referência directa à PEZ, como sendo uma raridade em protótipo de um super dispensador dos anos 70, também chamado de "Folding (dobrável) regular". Existe referência a este tipo de dispensador num dos livros de Shawn Peterson, pelo que é possível comparar as peças em falta e assinaladas neste disponibilizado. A quantia, "também super" de 5 mil dólares (actualmente mais de 4.650 euros), tem como suporte num exemplar vendido no mesmo site de vendas em 2002 (Welch refere a data de 2001), o qual alcançou os 4.500 dólares. an ultra rarity in the PEZ hobby. I do not believe an example of this dispenser has been offered for sale, publicly or privately for almost 15 years. I sold a complete white example of this dispenser in 2001 for $4500, the last time anyone I know can recall one selling or being offered for sale.
Almost ZERO of the most advanced collections in the world have one of these in their collection. I know of only 2 other people who own an example.
It does not say PEZ on it. This item never made it to the mass market as it is bulky, weird and unwieldy to use.
This example is in excellent condition but it has 2 things missing, which most people would not even notice unless it was pointed out to them.
The first is a very small cover plate for the bottom of the dispenser---see last 2 photos where the silver pointer is pointing and then the next pic. You should not be able to see daylight through that place in the final pic. The fact it is missing does not affect the function of the dispenser.
The second item missing is more significant. If you look at Shawn Peterson's 3rd edition on P 99 you can see the inner carriage that holds the candy is missing, similar to the inner slider on a normal dispenser."
